Boat blacking service

Braunston boats offers a comprehensive and cost effective blacking service. We ensure that the surface of your boat is well prepared before applying your chosen blacking. If extra work is required we will liaise with you and agree a suitable solution. All coatings are applied to industry best practice standards. We monitor temperature and dew points at each stage of the process to ensure that your coating is applied in line with manufacturers guidelines and that your boat is given adequate drying time. This information is recorded on the blacking work sheet/record and is available on request.

We are happy to accommodate live aboard boaters onboard their boat while it is out of the water however this will be done at the boaters own risk.

We recommend that you book well in advance If you have a particular week in mind for your boat to be blacked.

Hempadur 2 pot epoxy £ 14.75 per foot + VAT

Medium Anodes (2.5Kg) £ 68.00 each + VAT (Includes fitting)

Painting tunnel bands £ 175 per band + VAT

Other painting - charged at an hourly rate of £40 per hr.

Boat slipping for survey etc, £220 + VAT. (includes slipping both ways)

Minimum charge for blacking applies (35 ft)

Please note we cannot slip “V” bottom boats or wide beam boats.
